Devon Still To Accept the Jimmy V. Perseverance Award For Daughter Leah

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Leah Still, the five-year-old daughter of Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still, will receive the Jimmy V. Perserverance Award on Wednesday night at the ESPY's.

Devon will accept the award on Leah's behalf, as she will remain at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia receiving treatment.

Leah has inspired the world with her story, as she continues her fight against cancer. On March 25th, Devon announced Leah's cancer is in remission.

The Jimmy V. Perseverance award was named in honor of former North Carolina State men's basketball coach Jimmy Valvano. Valvano delivered his famous speech at the 1993 ESPYs during his own fight with cancer, before passing away on April 28th, 1993.
