Detectives: Jewelry Store Employee Abducted In Center City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Detectives say a woman who works at a store on Jewelers' Row in Center City was kidnapped Saturday afternoon after leaving the store.

This happened around 4 p.m. near National Watch & Diamond on the 100 block of South 8th Street.

According to police, the 53-year-old employee was put into the kidnapper's car in a parking garage across the street from the store and later dropped off at 84th and Linberg Boulevard in Southwest Philadelphia. It is believed the kidnappers wanted alarm codes to the store the woman works at.

She was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with some injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.

Central Detectives are investigating the incident and are still looking for the kidnappers .
