DeMeco Ryans To IR, Eagles To Add Chris Prosinski

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Monday afternoon, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman announced while on The Howie Roseman Show that DeMeco Ryans would be heading to the injured reserve list and his season is over.

Roseman was confident that Ryans will be able to return from the injury, but that the team would have to finish up the season without him.

Ryans' move to the injured reserve list means that a roster spot has opened up. Roseman announced that the team will add safety Chris Prosinski to the team.

Prosinski, 27, was selected by the Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Over four seasons with the Jaguars, Prosinski started nine games and played in 48 games.

The Eagles will look to Prosinski to add some physicality to the secondary and contribute on special teams.
