GLEN MILLS, Pa. (CBS) -- A physical education teacher at Garnet Valley Middle School, in Delaware County, is charged with sexually assaulting a female teenager who was his former student.

Thirty-eight-year-old William Barber of Concord Township, a veteran teacher in the Garnet Valley School District, is charged with sexual assault, institutional sexual assault, indecent assault, and related offenses for having sex with the fifteen-year-old girl inside his office on September 12th.

Barber, a physical education teacher at the middle school , is in his 12th year with the district.

State police say Barber was the teen's teacher when she was an eighth grader.

Arrest documents state the girl, who now attends Garnet Valley High School, admitted sending nude photographs of herself to Barber recently and that the two engaged in texting.

Troopers allege the pair met at the middle school after Barber finished a coaching session with the middle school football team.  They say the pair went to his office where they engaged in sexual activity.

The victim reported the incident to school officials yesterday.

Barber was placed on administrative leave and ordered during his arraignment on the charges on Tuesday to have no contact with children.

Bail has been set at $250,000.
