Delaware County Retirement Community Evacuated Due To Fire

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (CBS) – Residents were forced to evacuate on Friday night after a fire ripped through a Delaware County retirement community.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the Dunwoody Village Retirement Community located in the 3500 block of West Chester Pike.

Officials say all of the residents were evacuated due to the blaze. No injuries have been reported.

The fire was placed under control around 9:50 p.m.

No word yet on what started the fire.
