Delaware Valley Slowly Transitioning To Nicer Weather

By Geoff Bansen

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's going to be a chilly, breezy, damp and dreary day on Thursday for much of the region.

Clouds and few showers will continue to rotate east to west across the area, as a large area of low pressure slowly retreats away. Throw in a nippy northwest wind, and temperatures won't be able to rise past the mid 50s.

Starting tomorrow we are looking at a nice stretch of weather! Sunshine returns on Friday, and will dominate through the early part of next week.

Temperatures will hover in the mid 60s through the weekend before eventually shooting up to around 70 by the same time frame. Get outside and enjoy it this weekend!

Today's Highs:

Philly - 57

Shore - 56

Poconos - 46
