Delaware Governor Lifts State of Emergency After Storm

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Governor John Carney has terminated the statewide state of emergency, and the Level 1 Driving Warning in effect for Kent and New Castle counties, effective at midnight.

The state of emergency was issued Tuesday night in response to the spring snowstorm.

"Thank you to our DelDOT crews, the Delaware National Guard, and all state and local officials for their response efforts throughout this storm," said Carney.

State of Delaware offices in Kent and New Castle counties will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday.
