Students Injured After Delaware School Bus Driver Strikes Tree

NEWARK, Del. (CBS)— Multiple students were injured after the school bus they were traveling in slid off the road and struck a tree on Wednesday morning in Delaware.

It happened around 7 a.m. near Delrem Drive and Windsor Drive in Newark.

Police say the bus was traveling with eight children with the Christina School District when the 54-year-old bus driver attempted to make a slow turn and fish-tailed on black ice.

The female bus driver and three students, all 13 years-old, were transported for minor injuries.

The remaining children boarded another bus and were transported to school.

No charges are being filed in this investigation, police say
