Delaware Navy Veteran Finally Receives Service Award After Waiting Decades For Medal

VIOLA, Del. (CBS) -- A Delaware Navy veteran who waited decades for the medal he earned finally has it. Retired Petty Officer James Rounds, of Viola, served all over the world with the Naval Security Group.

He was a cryptologist.

Rounds received the service award but he never received the actual medal.

Sen. Chris Coons presented the medal to Rounds Monday for his years of service to the country.
