SMYRNA, Del. (CBS) -- A man wanted in connection with the disappearance of two children in Smyrna, Delaware has been arrested as the search for the children's mother continues.

State police say 32-year-old Cortez A. Hamilton Sr. was apprehended in Indiana and will be charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Assault Second Degree.

Hamilton's two children, 4-year-old Colette Hamilton and 2-month-old Cortez Hamilton Jr. are safe and in the care of Indiana's Division of Family Services.
