Del. Police Report Numerous Vehicle Accidents Due To Wintry Weather

DOVER, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware say they've responded to a total of 32 vehicle crashes due to the wintry weather.

Troopers report four of those accidents have involved minor injuries.

They also say they've gotten calls about 35 disabled vehicles since the snow began early Monday morning.

Motorists are urged to postpone and avoid unnecessary travel. Those who must drive are told to be prepared for snow-covered and slippery roads, strong winds and limited visibility.

On Sunday evening, Gov. Markell issued a State of Emergency in Delaware, along with a "Level 1 Driving Warning," which means that any person operating a motor vehicle when should exercise extra caution and to avoid travel if possible.
