Del. Mother, Boyfriend Charged In Death Of 4-Year-Old Girl

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) – A Delaware couple has been charged with the death of the woman's four-year-old daughter.

On Aug. 8, 2014 around 2:24 a.m., a call came in to officials from the Budget Motor Lodge at 140 S. DuPont Highway in New Castle requesting emergency assistance for four-year-old Autumn Milligan, who was found unresponsive on the floor of the motel.

The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation later revealed she had suffered multiple injuries including abdominal bruising that had been inflicted in the days prior to her death. The cause of death was ruled homicide by blunt force trauma.

On Thursday, Oct. 16, police arrested Autumn's mother, 26-year-old Tanasia C. Milligan, and her boyfriend, 35-year-old Willie Reeder.

Both were formally charged with Murder by Abuse or Neglect 1st Degree Recklessly Causing the Death of a Child and Conspiracy 1st Degree.
