Del. Man Facing Rape, Sexual Extortion Charges

GEORGETOWN, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware say they've arrested a 20-year-old man for sexual extortion and rape after he threatened to disseminate explicit photographs of a teen.

Edward B. Wescott, of Georgetown, was arrested on Oct. 25th after police picked him up at a predetermined location near Georgetown where he was supposedly meeting the 16-year-old girl.

During two previous encounters in the parking lot of the Dover Mall, Wescott had reportedly threatened to post nude photos of the teen if she didn't perform sexual acts with him.

The suspect is charged with two counts of Rape 2nd, Sexual Solicitation of a Child Under 18, and Sexual Extortion and was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $95,000 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with anyone under 18.
