GREENWOOD, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware say a 42-year-old sex offender from Greenwood has been arrested for allegedly attempting to solicit a sexual favor from his stepdaughter.

On April 9, troopers responded to a home on Hickman Road after the mother of a 15-year-old girl was told that 42-year-old Kenneth D. Warren had propositioned her daughter the previous day to try and get the girl to have a friend spend the night.

The next day, Warren allegedly began sending his stepdaughter text messages saying she "owed" him.

Warren was arrested and charged with Unlawful Sexual Conduct Against a Child by a Sex Offender and Sexual Solicitation of a Child Under 18 to Engage in Prohibited Sexual Acts.

Warren is currently being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $100,000 secured bond.
