Deer Bursts Into New Jersey House

GALLOWAY, N.J. (CBS) – Police were called to a house in Galloway Township, New Jersey Saturday after a woman said a deer ran into her home.

Police say a resident on Northampton Road was cooking when the deer burst into the front door of her house around 3:30 p.m. She was eventually able to trap the deer in the bathroom before notifying police.

When police arrived, they say both the main door and storm door were damaged. The deer also ransacked the bathroom.

Police say they were able to escort the deer back into the wild after a brief standoff.

No injuries were reported.
