Darren Sproles Scores Historic Touchdown Against Redskins
By Rahul Lal
Darren Sproles has always been one of the little guys in a league filled with giants but has solidified his role in the NFL record books because of his ability as a combo back. Standing at only 5'6" and 190 pounds, Sproles' first half touchdown reception ensured that he will be referred to years from now for his versatility.

The touchdown was the 30th of his long career putting him as the first player in NFL history with 30+ receiving touchdowns, 20+ rushing touchdowns (21), a punt return for a touchdown (7) and a kick return for a touchdown (2). Sproles' day could've been even bigger as he returned a punt back for a touchdown early in the third quarter of Sunday's game but the play was called back due to a penalty on the Eagles.

Sproles was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in 2005 and played underneath NFL great LaDanian Tomlinson and ever-so-consistent QB Drew Brees. In 2011, Sproles signed with the Saints and would eventually sign with the Eagles in 2014.
Sproles is a two-time Pro-Bowl selection and a three-time First-Team All-Pro selection. In 2011, Sproles set an NFL record for most all purpose yards in a single season with 2,696 all-purpose yards. This number will be hard to beat for anybody because of his dominance on special teams as well.
