'Mean Girls' Star's Marriage Proposal Uses Starbucks As The Backdrop

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Hollywood Starbucks recently became the backdrop for a celebrity marriage proposal. In July, Daniel Franzese used the popular coffee shop to propose to his partner, Joey. It was the place where they first met.

You may recognize Franzese from his performance in the 2004 hit film, Mean Girls when he played Damian.

Franzese reached out to a Starbucks employee the night before the proposal.

He handed the employee the ring the next day, as he visited the Starbucks with Joey, when Joey looked away for a moment.

The employee handed Joey a cup that read, "Mr. and Mr. Franzese." In the next cup he was handed, was nothing but the ring. Customers and employees cheered as Franzese took a knee.

He said YES.
