Customers Challenged To 'Coop' Up Cell Phones During Meal Time

PHILADELPHIA (CNN) -- A Chick-fil-A owner in Georgia is trying to bring families closer together during meals with a challenge.

Along with more quality time, customers who complete the challenge also get ice cream.

Brad Williams in Suwanee and his team came up with the "Cell Phone Coop." Each table at his restaurant has a Coop -- a small, square box with a challenge for customers:

Turn all family cell phones to silent and place in this cell phone coop.

Enjoy your Chick-fil-A meal and each other distraction free!

After the meal, let us know that you have successfully completed the challenge and each of you will receive a small ice cream cone.

"The challenge has completely taken off. We have families who aren't successful the first time and come back to try again. We even have people asking to take the boxes home with them," Williams told Inside Chick-fil-A.

Since Williams' challenge started, 150 Chick-fil-A restaurants have introduced the Cellphone Coop challenge to customers.
