Cultures From Around The World Celebrated In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Folks gathered on the Ben Franklin Parkway Saturday for a festival celebrating diversity and culture.
The second annual International Festival took place at Sister Cities Park at 18th Street and Logan Square.

"The Sister City International Festival is a celebration of Philadelphia's sister cities. There are ten sister cities" explains Michelle Shannon with the Center City District. "We got all kinds of people,we got food, we got performances, we got wine and sake."

Citizen Diplomacy International is in charge of Sister Cities programs. Nancy Gilboy is president and CEO:

"There are all kinds of exchanges that go on and relationships that are being built because of sister cities, and we have school relationships too, which is really good. Kids are learning about different countries and cultures."
