Crews Work To Repair Water Main Break In South Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Water Department says crews are working to repair a water main break in South Philadelphia.

Due to a water main break and cave in on 10th Street, between Tasker and Morris Streets, that block will be shut down until further notice, according to a Water Department spokesperson.

The spokesperson says the Department will be repairing the water main this evening, and will be performing further inspections to determine the cause of the cave in.

Once all work is complete, the Water Department says the road will be repaired and opened again.

At this time, there is no estimate for completion.
