Crews Take Advantage Of Nice Weather To Repair Potholes

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- You're likely to find more than a few traffic delays in your travels around the region this week.
While the inconvenience is temporary, what is happening will definitely make your ride smoother.
With temperatures forecast to reach into the 60s and 70s this week, road crews are taking full advantage of the opportunity to attack one of the lingering reminders of the winter.
"We'll have crews out this week and throughout the spring as necessary to repair the potholes as quickly as possible, and we ask citizens if they see the potholes to please report them to our toll-free number: 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
PennDOT's Gene Blaum says while we only got one big snowstorm in mid-January, rain and freezing conditions and salt has seeped into road cracks, creating the crop of potholes we have now.
