According to TCNJ's Communication Officer, a female student was exposed to Benzyl Bromide in the Chemistry Building and she subsequently traveled to the library and dining hall.

The student reported smelling odors and feeling tingling on her arm, so she reported to Health Services.

Because of the possibility of contamination, Campus Police Service, Environmental Health and Safety and Ewing Fire Department secured the library, dining hall and Chemistry Building.

As of 1:45 p.m., all three buildings were checked and cleared. The library and dining hall have reopened and the Chemistry Building is expected to reopen sometime this afternoon.

No contamination was found in any of the buildings.

The student was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center as a precaution.
