Crews Battle 2-Alarm Fire In Delaware County

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, Pa. (CBS) -- Crews battled a fire in Delaware County that reached 2-alarms Monday afternoon.

The call came in around 3:30 p.m. for reports of flames on the 200 block of S. Springfield Road in Clifton Heights.

Authorities say the fire was placed under control in about an hour.

Springfield Road was closed between Baltimore Pike and Berkley Avenue.

The American Red Cross says three people affected by the fire have been assisted with food, clothing, shoes and lodging.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

So far, there is no word on a cause.
