Crews Battle North Philly House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Firefighters battled a blaze in North Philadelphia early Friday morning that left three families without a home.

The fire broke out just after 1:30 a.m. at the home located at 26th and Oxford Streets.

Officials say when crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the home.

No injuries were reported and it's not clear if anyone was inside at the time of the fire.

The Red Cross say they are assisting a total of 15 people.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
