Crews Battle House Fire In Morrisville

MORRISVILLE., Pa. (CBS) -- A house fire in Morrisville, Bucks County quickly spread out of control Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Park Avenue, just before 3:30 p.m.

The flames spread to multiple homes nearby, keeping police and firefighters on scene for hours trying to get those flames under control.

"We had three dwellings go to the ground by fire. The fire started in an occupied dwelling and then spread to two unoccupied dwellings," said Morrisville Police Chief George McClay.

One woman was able to escape unharmed.

Authorities say they believe the fire started in the kitchen of one home.
