Crews Battle Fire, Bitter Cold In Grays Ferry

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Firefighters battled a blaze at a home in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia late Wednesday night while also having to deal with freezing temperatures.

Crews responded to the two-story home on the 1300 block of Grove Street just before midnight. They had to put salt down to remove ice from their hoses.

Everyone inside the house made it out safely and no injuries were reported. Those displaced are currently being assisted.

The fire was placed under control quickly. No word yet what caused the blaze.
