2-Alarm Fire Rips Through Northeast Philly Townhouses

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Several homes were damaged after a 2-alarm ripped through a townhome complex Sunday afternoon in Northeast Philadelphia.

The blaze began around 4 p.m. at a two-story townhouse on the 3500 block of Woodhaven Road.

One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

The fire was placed under control just before 4:30 p.m.

Officials say the fire started in nearby bush and was placed under control just before 4:30 p.m.

Officials are still trying to determine whether it was an accident or intentional.
