Police Capture Coyote Spotted In South Philly

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police have captured a coyote after it was spotted roaming South Philadelphia on Thursday morning.

Officers cornered the animal under a dumpster near the 1600 block of Montrose Street, around 6 a.m.

Police Capture Coyote On The Loose In Northeast Philly 

Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission say the coyote seems to be in good health. It will be released in a wooded area in Montgomery County.

Earlier in the day, the animal was spotted on Columbus Boulevard, past the Sea Port Museum.

There were no reported injuries.

Recently, police caught a coyote in Mayfair. It was later released.
