Cowboys Add RB Alfred Morris

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Dallas Cowboys have added an NFC East running back.

Former Washington running back Alfred Morris has signed a two-year deal with the Cowboys, the team announced on Tuesday.

Morris, 27, did not reach the 1,000-yard rushing plateau for the first time in his four-year career last season, splitting carries with talented rookie back Matt Jones. Morris finished with just 751 yards on the ground and one total touchdown.

Darren McFadden, coming off a 1,089-yard season, is expected to enter the season as the Cowboys' starting running back.

The Cowboys have the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, while the Eagles have the eighth overall selection. There is much debate over where the talented Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott will end up.
