Coronavirus Latest: Jump-Start Philly Schools Fund Begins Distributing 15,000 Laptops To Charter, Catholic School Students

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The new Jump-Start Philly Schools Fund distributed its first laptops. Eyewitness News was at Mastery Charter School Pickett campus in Northwest Philadelphia on Friday morning.

Staffers from Philadelphia charter and Catholic schools started loading about 1,000 laptops.

The fund paid for 15,000 Chromebooks for charter and Catholic school students.

Distribution will continue through next week.
