Cops: Reported Threat Puts Charter High School In Philly On Lockdown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A charter high school in Philadelphia was placed on lockdown Thursday after a threat was reportedly made against the school.

The incident happened at the Franklin Towne Charter High School in the 5300 block of Tacony Street.

According to investigators, one individual was taken into police custody after an unspecified threat was made against the school.

It was not immediately known if that individual in custody was a student.

As a result of the threat, the school was placed on lockdown.

Officials say the school is secure at this time and they have no further comment.

The incident remains under investigation.
