Cops: Pennsylvania Woman Stabbed Hubby For Drinking Her Beer

UNIONTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- Police have charged a Pennsylvania woman with stabbing her husband with scissors because he drank one of her beers while she slept.

Forty-five-year-old Tracey Lee Giffin faces a preliminary hearing Aug. 31 on charges including aggravated assault.

Police say the Uniontown couple was drinking Sunday evening and that Giffin went to bed, but woke up to discover Joseph Giffin had drunk one of her beers.

Police say he was stabbed and cut in the neck, chest and head with the scissors, and bitten by Giffin on the arms and thumb.

Giffin remained in the Fayette County jail unable to post bond Thursday. Her attorney didn't immediately comment.
