2 Phila. Men Facing Charges Thanks To Drug Sniffing Dog Named 'Rocky'

By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two Philadelphia men are facing charges in Maryland after police found nearly 1,000 pounds of pot in their U-Haul.

The 23-year-old men were in the U-Haul on I-95 in Cecil County, Maryland Monday night when state police lieutenant Daniel Everett talking to CBS 13 in Baltimore, says a trooper pulled them over.

"During the course of his traffic stop he was able to get a K-9 scan on the vehicle, at which time the K-9 gave a positive alert."

He says the drug sniffing dog named Rocky smelled pot, and police would open up the U-Haul to find about 938 pounds of marijuana.

Police say it was high-grade stuff, and the street value could be as high as $5,000 a pound.

Authorities identify the two Philadelphia men they arrested as Baojie Chen and Da Fen Xiong.

They're now facing multiple drug possession charges.
