By Steve Beck

EXTON, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Chester County are searching for a suspect who used Craigslist to rob a man in the parking lot of a popular mall.

The incident happened at about 3 p.m. Wednesday in the north parking lot of the Exton Square Mall.

According to investigators, the victim responded to a Craigslist ad for someone selling a cell phone.

The suspect told the victim that his name was "Kyle" and said that he had attended Downingtown West High School.

The victim agreed to meet the suspect at the Exton Square Mall to purchase the cell phone.

During the meeting, investigators say the suspect grabbed the victim's money from his hand and then got into a gray car that was parked nearby. The car, which was driven by a white female with curly hair, then sped away.

A surveillance image (above) of the suspect was captured from a store inside of the mall just prior to the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the West Whiteland Township Police Department at 610-363-0200 or 610-692-5100.
