Cops: Man On Heroin Found Unconscious In Car With Child In Back Seat

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Camden County police say an unconscious driver suspected of being under the influence of heroin had a 3-year-old in the back seat.

Authorities say 40-year-old Domenick Romeo III of Pitman was passed out behind the wheel of a pickup truck at an intersection in Camden on Saturday.

In addition to the child, police say they recovered empty syringe packaging.

Romeo is charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving while suspended.

The child was returned to her family.
