Cops: Man Hid In Evesham Church, Stole Gift Cards, Cash

EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS) -- Police are searching for a man accused of stealing gift cards and cash from a church in South Jersey.

Evesham Police say the incident happened on March 9th at the St. Joan of Arc Church on Willow Ridge Road.

According to investigators, the suspect, identified by police as 21-year-old Steven Holub, entered the church and interacted with members of the congregation.

Police say Holub then hid in the church until all members left for the night.

Once alone in the church, police say the suspect broke into a safe and stole $900 in gift cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Evesham Police say they were able to identify Holub as the suspect through surveillance video.

Holub remains on the loose and is wanted by the Evesham Police Department.

He is facing charges of 3rd degree Burglary.
