Cops: Man Charged For Allegedly Stabbing Coworker In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating after a man reported he was stabbed by his coworker in Philadelphia.

Authorities say around 1:45 p.m. on Friday, September 18, the victim reported he was driving to the Herr's headquarters on the 7500 block of Brewster Avenue, when his coworker pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed him several times.

The victim told police he was able to escape from the truck after the attack.

The male told authorities that he and the suspect never had any arguments or disagreements in the past.

Police say the victim works for Herr's corporation and the defendant works for a temporary agency and was assigned to Herr's about two weeks ago.

Authorities say he never worked with the victim before the incident.

Police say the victim received stitches in his right eye and right arm. He also suffered puncture wounds to the back of his head, stomach area and leg.

Police say the victim was treated at Penn Presbyterian Hospital and released.

Authorities say 21-year-old Tamaron Jones is charged with aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault and endangering another person.
