COPS: Female Bites Store Employee During Attempted Robbery In South Jersey

EVESHAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (CBS) – Police say three women from Philadelphia were arrested after they allegedly tried to steal items from a Home Goods Store and fought with the store's employees.

Officers say around 2 p.m. on May 20, police responded to the home furnishing store on Rt. 73 in Evesham for a shoplifting in progress.

Upon arrival, authorities found two women fighting with the employees. A third female had fled the scene on foot.

During the struggle, police say one of the suspects, Juanna Taylor, bit one of the workers.

Police say the trio attempted to steal over $600 worth of merchandise.

All three women were arrested and face charges, police say.

Juanna Taylor was charged with robbery, assault, resisting arrest and shoplifting.

Mahogany White was charged with robbery, resisting arrest and shoplifting.

Shyfeanah Purnell was charged with shoplifting.

They were all lodged in Burlington County jail in default of $20,000 bail.

Police say all merchandise was recovered and returned to the store.
