Driver Reportedly High On PCP Crashes Into Newsstand In Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A driver allegedly high on PCP crashed into a newsstand in Philadelphia Tuesday morning, police said.

The crash happened at about 10 a.m. at Frankford Avenue and Arrott Street in the city's Frankford section.

According to Philadelphia police, the 35-year-old driver lost control of his car and slammed into a newsstand.

The unidentified driver was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition. While at the hospital, police say he tested positive for PCP.

There were no reports of any injuries to anyone on the street.

The amount of damage to the newsstand was not immediately known.

The crash remains under investigation.
