Cooler Temperatures Make For A Comfortable Day

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sun will mix with clouds on Wednesday as high pressure is beginning to settle in behind yesterday's cold front, slashing temperatures like it were a fire sale.

Speaking of fire, a red flag warning is in effect for New Jersey this afternoon. Humidity will be low and the breeze will be gusty at times, coupled with the fact that only miniscule amounts of rain have been recorded over the last few weeks.

Turn off the AC and open the windows back up tonight; you may even need a few blankets, especially north and west of the city. Thursday is looking like an absolute gem, with blue skies and comfortable highs in the low to mid 70s. Humidity will again be low, so it's going to feel terrific outside.

Looking ahead, the threat of rain increases into the weekend, with unseasonable warmth returning to the Delaware Valley.
