Contagious Stomach Virus Reported At Lafayette College

EASTON, PA (CBS) Over the weekend, 47 students at Lafayette College reported symptoms consistent with a contagious stomach virus.

The students were sent and administered at the college health center and Easton Hospital. Jeffery Goldstein, the director of health services in a statement sent to students and faculty says he has been in communication with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, as well as the director of infection control at Easton Hospital.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is currently in the process of testing specimens obtained from students who were infected by the virus.
