'CollegeFest' Connects Students With What Philly Has To Offer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands of students participated in CollegeFest Saturday at Dilworth Park outside City Hall. It was an effort to show students what Philadelphia has to offer.

Freshman Crystal Torres from Arcadia University was took a selfie with a zombie nurse at the festival. The ghoul was there promoting Eastern State Penitentiary and its "Terror Behind the Walls" Halloween attraction.

"I think this is pretty cool, it's more part of the college experience and getting to know things and looking around." says Torres. "I think it's pretty awesome and I love zombies."

There were vendors giving out samples, organizations talking about programs, music and performances.

CollegeFest is organized by Camps Philly, a non-profit that serves as college students' off-campus student activities and career services office.

College students were also able to enjoy 8 museums for free on Saturday.
