Coast Guard Helps Man On Boat Near Cape May

CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) — The Coast Guard has come to the aid of a man who was injured on a boat off the coast of Cape May.

Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders in Philadelphia received a report around 8 p.m. Saturday that one of two crew members on the boat had fallen about 5-feet on the boat and become injured.

They dispatched a medium 45-foot response boat from Coast Guard Station Cape May to medevac the man to emergency medical personnel who were waiting at the station.

Officials did not release the name of the injured 48-year-old man, but said he was in stable condition during transport.
