Clouds Delaying Some Flights Into Philadelphia Over An Hour

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Low clouds and foggy conditions are delaying some flights into Philadelphia International Airport by more than an hour.

The Federal Aviation Administration says inbound flights that haven't taken off yet Friday are being held up by an average of 78 minutes.

Inbound flights already in the air are seeing delays of no more than 15 minutes.

The flight tracking website FlightAware says 14 Philadelphia-bound flights and 12 outbound flights have been canceled as of 10:30 a.m.

The site says 66 Philadelphia-bound flights and 58 flights from the city have been delayed.

The National Weather Service says clouds are as low as 400 feet.

Similar conditions are also delaying flights to New York's LaGuardia and Kennedy airports and Reagan National Airport in Washington.
