Claude Giroux Ruled Out For Tuesday's Game

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Flyers captain Claude Giroux will miss Tuesday's game at the Carolina Hurricanes as he continues to recover from an "upper-body injury," the team announced on Monday.

Giroux, who has 16 goals and 33 assists this season, injured himself in Friday night's game against the Montreal Canadiens when defenseman P.K. Subban hit Giroux in the head.

The Flyers (26-21-11, 63) are five points behind the Pittsburgh Penguins (30-20-8, 68) for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
