PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today's APP-tastic and outta SITE - Circle the Dot.

There's a trend emerging in mobile games: Take a simplistic style of play, but put it into a scenario where the player loses often - and quickly - encouraging him or her to try again.

That's true with Circle the Dot, but the problem is: this is a game of luck, not skill. And that feels as if the developer is cheating a bit.

It's one thing to lose. It's another to not have a fighting chance.
