Christmas Village Gears Up For Opening Weekend

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  It might be Thanksgiving eve, but it feels like Christmas at City Hall.

At Christmas Village, you can find just about anything you're looking for. From candles and jewelry to clothing, pictures, paintings, snacks and even kettle corn... all from local vendors.

It's expected to attract more than 700,000 people this year after breaking records last year with 600,000 visitors. That means more vendors and other amenities for residents and out-of-towners.

The village, which opened over the weekend for a preview, will be reopening on Thanksgiving after Philadelphia's annual Thanksgiving Parade on November 26 for anyone who wants to skate or walk off that turkey with some early shopping.
