Christie To Meet With Chinese Ambassador

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie is set to meet with the Chinese ambassador to the United States.

The potential Republican presidential contender will meet with Ambassador Cui Tiankai Wednesday afternoon in Trenton. The meeting will be closed to reporters.

A spokesman declined to provide additional details.

Christie has been spending lots of time out of state as he works to build support for an expected 2016 run. But he's made time to host foreign leaders while he's in town.

The governor met with Alberta Premier Jim Prentice in Trenton last week following a poorly-received trade mission to London dominated by talk of vaccines instead of foreign policy.
