Chris Stigall: Christie Wrong To Choose Politics Over Trooper's Funeral

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Chris Stigall expressed his displeasure with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie for his decision to attend a campaign rally with Donald Trump in Florida rather than attend the funeral of Sean Cullen, a State Trooper who was killed last week when struck by a vehicle on I-295 last week.

Stigall, on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, says the choice Christie made was contemptible.

"Christie going down there and playing Tattoo, Herve Villechaize, to Trump while a trooper is being laid to rest, that's just poor taste. It's awful. Absolutely, 100 percent, scum of the earth awful...You can't do what Christie did yesterday. I'll just say it. I don't care. Let the slings and arrows come. Donald Trump should've told Chris Christie I don't want you here. As far as I'm concerned, if you're Governor and you skip a funeral, a state trooper, a guy that's under your jurisdiction, your leadership, he's basically one of your fall soldiers for all intents and purposes, you skip it to go down and do Michael and Kelly with Donald Trump, that is awful."
