By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Chip Kelly took some time on Friday during Eagles practice to meet with the family and the former partner of fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Robert Wilson III.

Kelly brought the family, including Wilson's grandmother, and Wilson's partner out to practice and spent some time with them as they team prepared for their preseason opener Sunday against the Colts.

This was not the first time Kelly connected with Wilson's family. Kelly was among the hundreds of this city to pay their respects to Wilson at his viewing in March.
